I was born in Kentucky, spent my childhood in Florida, grew up in Chicago and now live in California. That may be the closest I’m going to get to multi-cultural.
One day I hope to be a less positive version of Oprah, but right now I’m the Editor of San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch covering San Anselmo and Fairfax (duh), a small part of Marin County, north of San Francisco. Before, I was the editor of a paper that covered the same area. Fancy! Different! I used write for a variety of blogs, papers, and magazines in my free time, but now I don’t have free time. I am a particular expert in pop culture as a reflection of societal trends, international economics (have to put that college major to some use), and brownies.
My other life is spent racing as a professional triathlete, where I alternate between being convinced I’m getting better at swimming and being positive the old women in the pool are walking faster than I swim.
Fun.

i believe you left out glenview… a fairly important part of your life
and VERY different from chicago
yeah, but “then we moved to chicago, then we moved to another place in chicago, then we moved to the suburbs” doesn’t really mesh well with my narrative. gosh.
yeah. The list of the seventeen places we moved before you were in 7th grade sort of slows down the story. But Maggie is right that Glenview is WAY different from Chicago.
